The feeder operators in South China announced the feeder service suspension from late December 2022 to the end January 2023. This suspension is a preventive measure due to COVID-19 quarantine requirements for ship crews plying between South China and Hong Kong upon their return from the Chinese New Year (CNY) 2023 holidays.
With this measure in place, we will temporarily suspend cargo acceptance with final destination under Pearl River Delta Area and Fuzhou until further notice. However, we will continue to accept cargo on mainline service to main ports such as Hong Kong, Yantian, or Shekou.
Keeping your cargo planning in mind, kindly take note that the suspension period for booking acceptance to South China is based on the estimated time of arrival at main ports such as Hong Kong, Yantian, Shekou, Da Chan Bay. You will be able to view the list of affected ports via our website here, or simply refer to the table below.
Please note that any ad-hoc CNY related overtime surcharge implemented by the feeder operators during this period charge will be on the cargo owner’s account. Any additional costs and liabilities related to Detention charge, Terminal storage or Terminal charge incurred at transshipment ports (Hong Kong, Shekou, Yantian, Da Chan Bay) after the containers' discharge during the feeder operator suspension time period will be on the account of the cargo owner.
If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your local Hapag-Lloyd offices or contact
[email protected] for more information.
